Magnolia Plantation and Gardens Founded in 1676 by the Drayton family, Magnolia Plantation has survived the centuries and witnessed the history of our nation unfold before it from the American Revolution through the Civil War and beyond. It is the oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry, and the oldest public gardens in America, opening its doors to visitors in 1872 to view the thousands of beautiful flowers and plants in its famous gardens.

JJDougan Watercolor Artist. Born in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, John Dougan quickly found a passion for the west when his family moved to Southeastern Arizona in 1956. There in the wide-open spaces surrounding Tombstone and Sierra Vista where he was raised, grew a love of the great outdoors and a desire to bring those feelings to life with paper and pencil. Today, through his watercolors, pencil, and other media, he searches for ways to convey the beauty and emotion inherent with each landscape, portrait or figure. JJDougan
